WBG (Wilmslow Business Group) is a young and dynamic business network that exists to help companies in Wilmslow – businesses of all shapes, sizes and sectors – to work cohesively and have a voice in order to change things for the better.

Networking works

We believe that networking with other local businesses is the best medium for business referral; word of mouth recommendation which is often the very best kind of business referral of all.

We also strive to improve Wilmslow for business and consumer alike by liaising with local authorities to have our say and be involved in decision-making as much as is possible.

Ultimately we, and our 60 member businesses aim to play an active role within the business community and wider community as a whole, putting something back with support for charities and fundraising initiatives.

Tap into business support

Networking is a key element of our meetings and time for this is allocated each time we get together. To enhance the network procedure we invite a member to give a ten-minute talk on their business for an invaluable insight.

Networking in this vein has successfully led to larger local organisations to provide business support to smaller Wilmslow businesses in waste recycling initiatives.

We also aim to keep member businesses informed and updated regarding any issue that may affect them or be of interest, with the goal of making Wilmslow a better place to do business, work and live.
